THE LAST HUMAN FAMILY

The year is 2085. The machines have taken over. Your family is still alive. For now.

2085 is a fast, relentless arcade arena shooter created for the Commodore PET/CBM and Vic-20.

You are the last line of defence for a scattered human family trapped inside an arena crawling with hostile machines. Move through the chaos, fire in any direction, rescue the humans you can reach, and survive wave after wave of increasingly dangerous enemies.

Standing still is not an option.

SAVE THE FAMILY

Humans wander the battlefield while the machines close in.

Touch a family member to rescue them and build your score. Consecutive rescues become increasingly valuable—but lose a life and the rescue chain starts over.

And watch the Brains.

They aren't interested in you first.

They're hunting the humans.

A captured family member can be transformed into a deadly PROG that turns around and comes after you.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY

The machine army is more than a swarm of identical targets.

GRUNTS charge across the arena and overwhelm through sheer numbers.

ENFORCERS move quickly, strafe, and fire directly at you.

BRAINS hunt your family and transform their victims.

SPHEROIDS drift through the arena and hatch new Enforcers while you fight.

QUARKS manufacture Tanks.

TANKS attack with dangerous bouncing bombs.

HULKS cannot be destroyed. Avoid them, outmaneuver them, and survive.

Even the arena's electrodes can become part of the fight.

THE WAVES KEEP COMING

2085 isn't simply the same battle repeated forever.

Later waves introduce different combinations of enemies and special attack patterns, including Brain waves, Tank waves, crushing Grunt assaults and Hulk-pressure stages.

Destroying everything isn't always enough.

Sometimes surviving the battlefield is the real challenge.

MOVE ONE WAY. FIRE ANOTHER.

2085 supports independent movement and firing for the frantic multidirectional control that this kind of arena battle demands.

Choose from:

  • Dual keyboard control rings
  • Keypad + SPACE
  • Joystick + keyboard firing
  • SNES controller support
  • Normal or swapped move/fire layouts
  • Graphics and Business PET keyboard layouts

Prefer something simpler? SPACE alone fires in the direction you last moved.
